Save to Cloud is a simple and secure web application that allows you to download files from any URL and automatically upload them to your preferred cloud storage service. Whether you want to save documents, images, videos, or any other files from the internet directly to your Google Drive, Dropbox, or Box account, we've got you covered.
Getting Started
What You Need
- A web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge)
- An account with one of the supported cloud storage services:
- A valid file URL that you want to save

Currently, we support the following cloud storage providers:
- Google Drive - Full support
- Dropbox - Full support
- Box - Full support
- OneDrive - Coming soon

Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Authenticate with Your Cloud Storage
- Visit the Home Page: Go to the main page of Save to Cloud
- Choose Your Provider: Click on the authentication button for your preferred cloud storage service:
- Click the Google Drive icon for Google Drive
- Click the Dropbox icon for Dropbox
- Click the Box icon for Box
- Complete Authentication: You'll be redirected to your cloud storage provider's login page
- Grant Permissions: Log in and grant Save to Cloud permission to upload files to your account
- Return to Save to Cloud: You'll be automatically redirected back to the application
Step 2: Save a File from URL
- Paste the File URL: In the main input field, paste the URL of the file you want to save,
- Important: Make sure it's a direct download link
- Optional - Change Filename:
- Check the "Change filename" checkbox if you want to rename the file
- Enter your desired filename in the text field that appears
- Click "Save to Cloud": Click the blue "Save to Cloud" button to start the process
Step 3: Monitor Progress
- Real-time Updates: Watch the progress bar as your file downloads and uploads
- Transfer Details: See file size, transfer speed, and estimated time remaining
- Status Updates: Monitor the status (downloading, uploading, completed, or failed)

File URL Requirements
- Valid URLs: The URL must be a direct link to a downloadable file
- Accessible Files: The file must be publicly accessible or accessible with your current session
- Supported Formats: All common file formats are supported (documents, images, videos, archives, etc.)
Filename Customization
- Default Behavior: Files are saved with their original names
- Custom Names: You can change the filename before saving
- File Extensions: Include the appropriate file extension in your custom name (e.g., .pdf, .jpg, .mp4)
Transfer Management
- Multiple Transfers: You can start multiple file transfers simultaneously
- Progress Tracking: Each transfer shows individual progress and status
- Retry Failed Transfers: If a transfer fails, you can retry it with the same settings
- Remove Transfers: Remove completed or failed transfers from the list
